In a division sum,
the divisor is 10 times the quotient and 5 times the remainder. If the
remainder is 46, then the dividend is
10Q = 5R
Since R=46, Q=23
Divisor = 10Q = 230
Dividend = (Divisor*Quotient)+Remainder
= (230*23)+46
= 5336

Draw the correct tabular column representing the employees and departments
correctly from the following clues:-
An
organisation consists of 2400 employees working in different departments (HR,
marketing, IT, Production and Accounts). The ratio of male to female employees
in organisation is 5:3 respectively. 12% of male works in HR department. 24% of
female works in Accounts department. The ratio of male to female working in HR
department is 6:11 respectively. One-ninth of the female works in the IT
department. 42% of them ales work in production department. Number of females
working in production department is ten percent of the males working in same.
The remaining females are working in marketing department. The total number of
employees in IT department is 285. 22% of males work in marketing department and
the remaining work in accounts department.
Total employees = 2400
Male : Female = 5 : 3
Male = (5/8) * 2400 = 1500
Female = 2400 – 1500 = 900
12% of male works in HR department
(12/100) * 1500 = 180
24% of female works in Accounts department
(24/100) * 900 = 216
HR department, Male to female is 6:11
Male working in HR department is 180
One-ninth of females work in IT department
(1/9)*900 = 100
42%of male works in production department
(42/100)*1500 = 630
Female working in production department is 10% of male working in
same department
(10/100)*630 = 63
Tot in IT department = 285 (female is 100 and hence male is 185)
22% of males working in marketing department
(22/100)*1500 = 330
