It's official! Geethu
Mohandas' Hindi film 'Liar's Dice', has been selected as India 's entry
in the Best Foreign Language Film category for the 2015 Oscars. 'Liar's Dice',
which features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Geetanjali Thapa in lead roles, was
selected by a 12-member jury appointed headed by director T Hariharan.
The film, which has been set
all along the Himachal-Tibet border, deals with issue of migration. The film
has been shot at the Chitkul village in Kinnaur district, Shimla, and many
other locations in Delhi
including the famous Jama Masjid. The film that bagged two National Film Awards
including, Best Actress for Geetanjali Thapa and Best Cinematography for Rajeev
Rai at the 61st National Film Awards. 'Liar's Dice' is Geethu Mohandas' first
Hindi film and her second directorial venture. Director Geetu Mohandas is also
a popular actress in Malayalam cinema.
