All TN MPs have
participated in debates.
|
There are five MPs who have not raised single questions:
(1) B
Senguttuvan (Vellore)
(2) J
Thiyaraj (Tuticorin)
(3) M
Chandrakasi (Chidambaram)
(4) R
Vanaroja (Tiruvannamalai) and
(5)
V Panneerselvam (Salem)
But
they have more than 98% attendance.
K Srinivasan, chairman, Prime Point
Foundation, who has instituted Sansad Ratna Award for outstanding
parliamentarians said that, the MPs take
up only state-level or national-level issues. They do not take up constituency
or district level issues. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been advising
all MPs to take up micro-level issues of their constituencies in Parliament so
that the government can address them.
Among
all the MPs, the maximum number of questions were raised by Supriya Sule (181
questions) of Nationalist Congress Party. She has 89% attendance and also
participated in 10 debates.
