Kings have gone but new dynasties are coming up

Kings have gone but our corrupt democratic system is evolving into new dynasties with Nehru dynasty that amassed vast wealth and resources as the King and the other families as satellites (for e.g.,) YSR, Karunanidhi, Dev Gowda’s, NTR’s, Chautala’setc.

Tainted Vigilance body head!

Indian Government appointed tainted P.J. Thomas as head of Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). He was the Telecom secretary under whom 40 billion dollar 2G scandal occurred and he is going to investigate 2G scam!! When Supreme Court of India questioned , Government basically told it is not their business.

Politics is new Business Avatar in India - none can stop it...

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi (not born as a rich) family amassing millions in various businesses. One of them even made it to Fortune magazine list of top billionaires!!
YSR/Jagan scam of 78,000 crores in 4.5 years
Andhra CM (2004-2009)

Natural resources that belong to all Indians are looted by private parties in collusion with politicians and bureaucrats.
Reddy Brothers looted 27 lakh tons of Iron Ore(in collusion with Congress in Andhra and BJP in Karnataka)

Ambani brothers got exorbitant prices, tax exemptions tailored to benefit them and virtual monopoly for Krishna Godavari basin exploration, benefiting billions of dollars from congress Govt.

India now is witnessing not mere corruption, but national plunder.

India’s standing per Transparency International
India’s Corruption Perception Index: 3.3
Scale of 0 to10 10 (highly clean), 0 (highly corrupt)

2G Spectrum Allocation Fraud, 1.76 lakh crores(40 billion dollars)

Classic example of collusion between politicians, industrialists and media with high powered brokers.
Indian Government refuses to constitute a joint parliamentary committee of all parties to investigate the scam (that resulted in total deadlock in entire last parliamentary session).
No tolerance for corruption or deception? Govtrefused Joint Parliamentary committee because based on proportion of MPs there will be majority representatives from other parties who will be able expose those who actually received money and deposited in swissand other safe havens? Who are they protecting?

Commonwealth games (CWG) fraud 60,000 crores, 13 billion dollars (2010)

CWG cost comparisons

2002 (UK): Rs 2,100 crores
2006 (Australia): Rs 5,000 crores
2010 (India): Rs 60,000 crores!!!
2014(UK,estimated): Rs 2,200 crores!!!

Original estimate of India’s CWG is 617.5 crores.90% of infrastructure development costs were looted. 900+ crores billed for about 85 crores stadium.

Hassan Ali Khan Hawalascam (evading taxes up to 100,000 crores)

Hassan Ali Khan a stud farmer from Pune who started as small time conman, bank fraud to Hawala transactions. He has known Swiss account of $8billion dollars and more. Most of the money believed to belong to politicians and industrialists and Khan was conduit. That is not all. There is enormous amount of money ploughed back into India stock market as participatory notes.Even though Swiss was willing to give more information if requested, Govt submitted forged documents as request. Hassan Ali Khan is richer than Azim Premji!!
Finance minister Pranab Mukherjee is even changing tax laws to evade sharing information about the assets. CID Investigations confirmed a meeting between Hassan Ali, Vilasrao Deshmukh(exCM of Maharashtra) and Ahmed Patel (trusted secretary of Sonia Gandhi).

What could India do with Spectrum Scam Money - 73 lakh crores(1.4 trillion dollars)?

Give: Rs 56,000 to every Indian. Even better, give Rs 1.82 lakhto 40 croreIndians living BPL (Below Poverty Level).
Clean up: 50 major rivers for the next 121 years, at Rs 1,200 crore a river every year.
Launch: 90 NREGA-style schemes, each worth roughly Rs 81,111 crore.
Announce: 121 more loan waiver schemes. All of them worth Rs 60,000 crore.
Hand out: 60.8 crore Tata Nanosto 60.8 crore people. Or four times as many laptops.Grow the GDP: The scam money is 27% more than our GDP (Rs 53 lakhcrores).

  • Since 1997, 199,132 farmers committed suicide in India.
  • The looted money is used to hoard food supplies to increase prices and make more. This is making life hell for poor in India with 17% inflation. A mother has to chose between sending her child to school or to work.
  • Lack of development is causing insurgency. One third of India’s districts are affected by Maoist insurgency.
  • 100 million Indians live in slums surrounding cities in depraved conditions with no toilet or hygiene.

Family Crisis

As the 2G scam hits closer to home, the Karunanidhi clan is getting more and more irritable. Patriarch and Tamil Nadu CM M. Karunanidhi is also increasingly miffed with the media. Last week, when AIADMK chief J. Jayalalitha said his family members should be made co-accused, the CM was livid. “Just because I have a family, tathaarigal (those who have no family—an obvious reference to Amma, who is a spinster) are making such demands,” he raged. And to the hapless reporter who persisted, he asked, “Do you have a family?” A few weeks ago,the normally amiable DMK chief’s daughter Kanimozhi also snapped at a reporter when asked why the Chennai Sangamam festival (of which she is a patron and Father Gasper, who was raided by the CBI, a prominent organiser) was not so successful this year. “Why don’t you organise it next time?” was her caustic retort.

HONESTY IS INDIVISIBLE

HONESTY IS INDIVISIBLE

The scams have a symbolic relationship with the black economy. The number of scams is growing and so is the size of the black economy, which has reached a mind-boggling level of 50% of the GDP, that is, it annually generates Rs. 33 lakh crore in black income. While the 1980s saw 8 major scams, in the period between 1991 and 1996 there were 26 and during 2005-08, there were around 150.
There has been an (exponential) growth in the average amount of money involved in each scam. Bofors was the biggest scam of the 1980s, estimated at Rs 64 crores. It was dwarfed by Harshad Mehta scam in 1992 involving a loss about Rs 3000 crores (Janakiraman Committeee report). The Satyam scam in 2009 is estimated to involve upwards of Rs 7500 crore. Finally the mother of all scams, the allotment of 2G spectrum in 2008 is estimated by CAG to involve a loss of Rs 176000 crore. Even if that is a notional figure, in 2008 itself various analysts had estimated the loss to be upwards of Rs 50000 crore.

On Inflation:

Political scientists in India 2011 can now be forgiven a rethink on the whole fraud. The massive hike is petrol prices at a time of ranging food inflation is totally unacceptable (some business magnets and IT people will alone say this scenarios are clearly evidence of showing India is developing in economic. What a think they have na…amazing). In just seven months, the price of petrol has gone up by over Rs. 10. The new hike has came even as the government announced that it was taking the price rise seriously and has formed yet more panels and GoM to study the problem. (Another GoM was to have met in Dec 2010 to decide on whether to hike diesel and LPG price as well. Yet another was to take a call on raising APL foodgrain prices).

On reshuffle of cabinets:

Amazing, shocking but true, without the involvement of Niira Radia PM has reshuffled the Union Cabinet. Now the rural development portfolio to a man (Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh) just trashed by the Supreme Court for protecting the moneylenders in Vidharbha (a region where farm suicides are more in India). He was CM of Maharashtra for 8 years (30000 farmers took their own lives in the state). For this his remark “Committing suicide is an offence under the IPC. But did we book any farmer for this offence?”. Just after the 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai, he went to the Taj Hotel with his actor son and film maker Ram Gopal Varma. Sacked from his post for his “actions” now elevated to Union Cabinet. Then comes our Agricultural Minister, who will answer only questions related to cricket alone (the removal of Kolkatta for hosting world cup match he replies but for inflation he keeps silence as his leader (PM) does). It’s ok for being ICC President he is answerable to the quests related to cricket but for Indian agriculture??? (Everything can wait in this world except agriculture, a country which s not showing much development on agriculture will not even develop irrespective wat the man power / IT power / defence power…)

On “new new new” scams:

The “new” telecom minister Kapil Sibal on assuming his charge on first day said “something went wrong in 2G spectrum scam”. Appointed one member commission (In India, if a commission is appointed means, criminals can take a big relief since none of the commission had given any harsh punishments to the culprits so far) to probe the scam (headed by former SC Judge Shivaraj Patil). CBI (arm wing of PMO) also investigating this scam details. Days passed, then suddenly one day Sibal’s mouth said in an interview that, “CAG report of Rs 176000 crore scam is not true and it is an assumption figure. No loss occurred in 2G scam.(But CAG confirmed that the amount is correct and scam occurred which is a big ex-cheque loss to India) Then SC asked Sibal to behave with some “responsibilities”, then Sibal took U-turn and said, “I have great belief in CAG”. Here one thing to be noted is that, CAG is not a private dept, it is a wing of Government department which celebrates its 150 years now. (A minister scolding another minister, a Minister denies report by own govt agencies are something can happen only in India)

2G, Raja, Radia, illicit funds and stubborn on CVC, the UPA government’s scam are growing in “geometric progressions”.

Now Chairman of Planning Commission (PM) and Deputy chairman are saying “the huge price rise in food items suggests that the poor are doing better, eating more” (famous statement made by former US President George W  Bush.

The apt for the present India can be written as: “The party (INC) which got freedom for India from British now given a slavery statement to USA.” (As USA said India not signed in Iran – Pakistan – India gas pipeline, Indian students are facing ‘radio tape’ by dupe US Univ but no oppose by head of state from India, etc…)

Yashwant Sonawane

A kerosene mafia killed Additional Collector of Nashik District, Yashwant Sonawane in Maharashtra (Country’s financial capital city location).

Due to this several persons are arrested by persons. (But anyhow none will be punished as our Indian law is so easy for criminals cum politicians cum business magnets, but for common people alone it will be a deadly one). Over 17 lakh employees of the Maharashtra government went on a strike on January 27, 1011(next to India’s republic day) demanding the strict punishments to be given.

I do not know when how our Hon PM is going to open his mouth. (Right from spectrum scam, adarsh scam, Kashmir burning issue, cwg scam, water issues among states, now a civil servants burn to death he is just fitting his silencer). Wat a man he is… Amazing… he will open his mouth only when US President comes or ask him to do so…

Recent remarks by Indian politicians on PM:: (But it is certainly true…)

PM should resign from his post, if he does not know what to do” – J Jayalalithaa, Opposition Leader (TN) and AIADMK Chief

About the PM I had said (in 2004), I respect him, but today I sympathise with him. What kind of PM is he? I have not seen such a weak PM” – L K Advani, BJP Leader

What a Republic Day we awakened to this year! While we display and parade our might and achievements in New Delhi on January 26 every year, on the one hand we have instances like a senior civil servant being burnt alive by a mafia, on the other. Is this what we promised ourselves 61 years ago? The political class has a lot to answer for the sorry state of the republic we are in.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure the security of officers carrying out jobs that involve an element of risk. But our government will give full tight security to “terrorist” Ajamal Kasab, “scam kings” A Raja, Kalmadi, Ashok Chavan, “caste leaders who speaks on integrity of India” (a lot of ‘leaders’ ), “great” cricketers and cine persons.

Goondas are up and about again. All are talking about “corruption” as if it is a new mantra. RTI activists and whistle-blowers are being threatened or killed. Loyal and upright employees seeking information, with an eye on transparency, are either denied promotions or face punitive action.

Is the country being ruled by mafias and criminals ready to do anything for money? If administrative officials are unable to protect themselves, what would be the fate of an average citizen? The challenge before the judicial system is to ensure that the law strikes fear in criminals.

The killing of Sonawane clearly gives two messages.,
(1)    The mafias will grow unchecked as they will be protected by vested interests and the political class.
(2)    There are still bold, committed and dedicated officials serving the nation.

Rock on, Rahman

A R Rahman was nominated to Oscar Awards in two different categories. He missed Golden Globe award for the same nomination. (Film: “127 Hours”).
“I have two Oscars, two Grammy’s, a BAFTA and a Golden Globe. It’s not just another award function where they shower their love on you every now and then by giving you an award. I think it is great to be in good company by getting nominated. It is just the five best composers across the world, from U.S. point of view, pitted against one another. But I don’t think the country goes gaga over me winning or not inning an international award. This isn’t a cricket match” – A R Rahman

Rahman has recently released a music video titled “Changing Seasons”, featuring visuals from the movie “Raavanan / Raavan”. Release in Tamil and Hindi, it features the song “Uda Ja Re… (Hindi)” / “Nane varuven….(Tamil)”, which played during the roll over credits. The film not done well at the box office and Rahman’s score for the film didn’t become particularly popular. Why the need then to revive the single? He answers.,

“In the urgency of life, a lot of good things go past and we don’t pay attention to them. I think “Raavanan / Raavan” had the most enchanting visuals by Santosh Sivn (cinematographer) and Aishwarya looked very beautiful. Mani Ratnam was kind eough to let me use the unused stills from the film.”

INDIA -> SCAM, SCAM2, SCAM3,…..SCAMn

INDIA -> SCAM, SCAM2, SCAM3,…..SCAMn

2010 was dominated by one word in India – CORRUPTION. The size and frequency of corruption in 2010 made it the theme of the year. . A brief chronology of the scams that rocked India in 2010 shows how the nation continues to be looted. India has not yet got over the scandalous 2G spectrum deal which, to quote CAG, cost the country Rs 1, 76, 645 crore. Though the irregular spectrum scam took place in 2008, A Raja, who as the Union telecom minister resigned his post only in end of 2010 (that too when the Supreme Court given strong words on the Govt functions). The CAG report clearly highlighted how politics and big businesses are unite in a silent conspiracy to loot us.

A conversation about the process of selecting a software bridegroom...

A conversation about the process of selecting a software bridegroom.... Enjoy reading:

Vidhya:  hey! what is the matter you have called up all of a sudden?

Nithya : do u remember that my parents gave my horoscope, to search for
a suitable match, to many people? So many horoscopes of the groom has
come.. in that 4-5 seems to match.. I don't know which one to select, I
am confused because of it.

Vidhya: what is the confusion about?

Nithya: horoscopes of many software engineers have come.
That's why I don't know whom I must select among this. You are a
software engineer na pls give me some suggestion.

Vidhya: not a problem at all. So tell me the position that each one
holds.

Nithya: first is a "manager".

Vidhya: manager?? Then he will showcast himself that he is busy always.
But he will not do anything properly. He will get u 1 kg of rice and ask
you to prepare for the whole area say a village. He will get you mutton
and ask you to prepare chicken 65. Even if you protest telling you can't
make it, he'll not accept. He will tell you to work hard day and night
to prepare it. He will also tell he'll provide you with the night cab.
Even if you ask how can I prepare chicken 65 out of it by sitting day
and night he will not accept.

Nithya: ohh..so dangerous he is!! Then I must escape. Next is a "test engineer".

Vidhya: he is more dangerous than the other person. Whatever you do he
will correctly tell only the fault in it. Even if you try to surprise
him with 10 variety of food, he will tell the item which does not have
salt in it. If you ask him "will you not at least tell that it is good",
he will reply back saying it is your duty to make it good so why must I
tell that. He is sooo good ...

Nithya: then a NO to him also. Next is the "performance test engineer".

Vidhya: he is another specimen.. even if everything is good, he will ask
why did it take this much time. If you take 10 minutes to make a coffee,
he will question you asking why you have taken 10 min for a coffee which
can be done within 5 min. Even if you say that he is talking about the
instant coffee while you have made the filter coffee, he will not
accept. The same will be with all the work you do. You must not think
about this person if you want to do make up in your life !!!

Nithya: then! you mean to say that we should not marry software guys??

Vidhya: who said like that?? In software there is one more group. They
are called the developers group. How much ever you hit them they will
bear.

Nithya: then tell about them.

Vidhya: you don't have to do anything. They will do everything
themselves. If we sit back and just boost them it is enough. But the
problem with them is- they will say "I know it" whatever you ask them.
Even that is ok. They will bear how much ever you hit them but the
condition is you must keep saying "you are too good" after hitting them
every time.

Nithya: this is superb. Then we must search for this kind of a groom....
