Kudankulam Unit 1 reaches maximum capacity

The unit 1 of the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant reached full capacity generation of 1,000 MW, coming as a huge relief to Tamil Nadu. The Russian designed Voda Voda Energo Reactor achieved the final milestone nearly eight months after power generated at the plant flowed into the grid. This is the first nuclear power plant in the country to reach power generation of 1,000 MW . For Tamil Nadu's power managers, the unit 1 reaching full capacity is good news.
