Top 5 disasters of 2014



(01) Ebola Virus:

WHO alerts on Ebola virus in Guinea. It soon becomes the largest epidemic in history, affecting multiple countries in the Western Africa. Ebola has killed more than 7500 people. Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea are the three nations that are worst-hit by the outbreak.

(02) Malaysian Airlines Flight 370:

Malaysian airlines flight 370, en route to Beijing form Kuala Lumpur, disappeared over the Gulf of Thailand with 239 people on board. The cause for disappearance is still a mystery

(03) South Korean ferry:

South Korean ferry MV Sewol capsizes and sinks after an unmanageable cargo shift, killing over 290 people, mostly high school students

(04) Malaysian Airlines Flight 17 (Boeing 777):

Malaysian Airlines Flight 17 is shot down by a missile in Ukraine, killing 298 people. Russia was blamed for this.

(05) Peshawar horror:


The terrorism in Pakistan took a U-turn when they killed more than 140 children in Peshawar Army School. The whole world shocked to see the images of the terrorism activities. Pakistan government now forced to act against terrorism activities
