World's tallest tower planned in Hyderabad

Taking forward his ambitious project for skyscrapers around the Hussainsagar Lake, Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao directed officials to construct the world's tallest tower in Sanjeeviah Park in Hyderabad. The 92 acre Sanjeeviah Park is under the control of the Buddha Purnima Project Authority of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority.
The world's tallest tower at present is the Burj Khalifa in Dubai (828 metres, 163 floors). The second tallest building is the Shanghai Tower in Shanghai, still under construction and expected to be up to 632 metre tall with 121 floors.

Earlier, KCR asked revenue officials to identify land around Hussainsagar Lake that is vacant and suitable for constructing skyscrapers. Seven teams of the state survey department then surveyed 30 such land parcels with an extent between 1 acre and 20 acres.
